Schweingartensee

The Schweingartensee is a lake in the municipality of Carpin in the district Mecklenburg Lake District. The water is highly structured. There is a broader, shared by three peninsulas southern part and a narrower northern part with a larger island to the north. The lake has a north- south extent of about 2200 meters and a maximum east-west extent of about 600 meters. The lake and its wider surroundings are wooded. The lake is in the eastern part of the national park Müritz. The surrounding heights reached by the Serrahner mountains 124.2 m above sea level. NHN.

The name of the lake can be here from the earlier conventional pig ( Hutung ) derived by the lake in the woods.
