The Swiss Sports Television (SSF ) was a Swiss private television station, which focused from 2009 to 2011 on the Swiss sport. The transmitter had lack of economic success in December 2011 in two waves most of the employees laid off. Since August 2012, the SSF Media AG occurs with a similar program concept under the new name sports scene tv ( SSf ) on.

History

The SSF had his law office in St. Gallen with production site in Zurich ( in the studios of TeleZüri ). The company was founded in 2007 as United Sports TV Production USP AG and October 2, 2009 in Swiss Sports Television (SSF ) AG renamed. The share capital amounted to 1.55 million Swiss francs. The Board was chaired by Peter Weigelt, vice president Giorgio Behr was. Delegate of the Board was Pascal Jenny. Program manager was from 2008 until the summer of 2012 Claudia Lasser, who was also from 2010 and Managing Director from 2011 Administrator of the transmitter.

The station was launched on 1 July 2009 with its own program after he held a program window on Star TV from early 2008. The intrusion on the cable network market leader Cablecom took place in 2010 against their will and only after the OFCOM decision. Due to limited capacity Cablecom then took the analogue network Sport 1 (formerly DSF) from the network.
