Geography

Geographical Location

Schwindegg located in Southeast Upper Bavaria in the valley of the Isen ( with confluence of Goldach ) and is bordered to the west by the district of Erding. Schwindegg is located about 60 km east of the city of Munich, 10 km east of Villages, 22 km west of Mühldorf, 17 km north of Hague and 43 miles from the Munich airport. The village has a railway station on the railway line from Munich to Mühldorf, which is serviced at least every hour to commute times in the half hour from the SüdostBayernBahn.

History

The first mention of Schwindegg was 1389th Some parts of municipalities (Walker Aich, Reibersdorf ) but are already in the ninth century mentioned. Schwindegg was independent Hofmark and later belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the district court Neumarkt an der Rott of the Electorate of Bavaria.

Beginning of the 16th century castle and Hofmark Schwindegg were owned by the Reichserbmarschalle of Pappenheim as Schwindegg belonged at that time to Pappenheimer rule Treuchtlingen. 1591 sold -born Schwindegg Veit zu Pappenheim the estate, including the castle of the Knights of Haunsperg. The closed four-wing building with corner towers and a gate tower was built in 1594-1620 on an older foundation. Just around the castle are former residential or farm buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, belonging to the protected castle ensemble.

Incorporations

In 1973, the municipal reform the administration and large parts of the former township Walker Aich were incorporated in the frame. With the community Obertaufkirchen administrative matters was formed in 1978, which was dissolved December 31, 1993.

On 1 May 1978, the districts Endsberg Stetten and the dissolved municipality Tegernbach were incorporated.

Coat of arms

Blazon: In blue held with a silver lock with two onion domes and two obliquely crossed golden beech leaves with the stems up.

Dominating the emblem is a stylized view of the castle, which overlooks the village of Schwindegg with his foot facility. The two crossed beech leaves the castle were previously included in the local coat of arms of Walker Aich. Consent to guide this coat of arms was made by the government of Upper Bavaria on August 8, 1977.

Infrastructure

End of 2006, the northern bypass the state road was completed in 2084, to relieve the town from through traffic. Motorists can handle over an approximately 4 -kilometer road the place thus.
