Schwirzheim

Schwirzheim is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Prüm.

Geography

Schwirzheim is north of the Prüm Kalkmulde. The municipality also includes the residential places longhorn parent, Eichelhof, Eichhof, hunting lodge and Waldhof, as well as part of the settlement Schwirzheim gondola home.

History

To the east of Schwirzheim remains of a Roman villa rustica were excavated, the earliest of which date points to the 2nd century.
