Science and Technology Options Assessment
The Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA ) committee is a committee of the European parliament, which deals with science and technology assessment.
The Vice-President of the Parliament, currently Oldrich Vlasák, is an ex officio member of the STOA Committee; the other 14 members are nominated by the six standing committees of Parliament ITRE, EMPL, ENVI, IMCO, TRAN and AGRI.
The Chairman is the Portuguese António Correia de Campos; his deputies are the Austrian Paul Rübig and Briton Malcolm Harbour.
The meetings are public, but only the 15 members of the Committee are entitled to vote.
