Science Fiction / Double Feature is the opening song of both the musical The Rocky Horror Show and the movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The text refers to a whole series of B-movies, which are also parodied in the story. At the beginning of the movie version you can see in close-up red rouged lips - mouth of Patricia Quinn - articulate the opening song. However, it sings Richard O'Brien, author of The Rocky Horror Show. Patricia Quinn plays the Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The song was often gecovert, inter alia, by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Black Math Experiment and Chris Murray. The Dresden Dolls performed it live, both as a band and with Amanda Palmer solo on the keyboard. The Forgotten Rebels played it in 1989 on the album Untitled. The Cabaret Voltaire artist has played the song live. Luke Ski parodied the song as Mystery Science Theatre Picture Show, a tribute to the Mystery Science Theater 3000. 2004 they covered Joan Jett and the Blackhearts song on the album Naked. Naya Rivera ( Santana Lopez aka ) coverte the song for The Rocky Horror Glee Show.
