Science Slam

A Science Slam ( German: Science contest ) is a scientific oral presentation tournament, in which scientists present their research topics within a specified time before an audience. In the foreground is the popular scientific communication of scientific content, the assessment is done by the audience. Format

The speakers are in the majority ( but not always) young scientists. Germany

The first Science Slam in Germany took place in late 2006 in Darmstadt, other cities followed in the next few years. German Championships

Since 2010, German -speaking annually Championships will take place in the Science Slam. Since 2012, the finals are preceded by four preliminary decisions, in which the Slammer must qualify for the finals in their respective regions (North, East, South, West).

Austria

Since November 2010, a regular slam in Vienna will be held in Austria under the title " Science Slam Vienna". Switzerland

Awards
