Sciences Po Aix

The Institut d' études politiques d' Aix -en- Provence (Institute of Political Studies, IEP), also known as the Institut d' études politiques (IEP ) or Sciences Po Aix known, is a grande école ( dt.Große school) for political Sciences of France. Its current director is Christian Duval.

The Sciences Po, founded in 1956 is located in the center of Aix -en -Provence, just opposite the Cathedral Saint Sauveur. Focus of the programs are political science, law, history, international relations and economics. She is assigned to III at the University Paul Cézanne Aix -Marseille.

Teaching

The IEP provides students with a general education in law, business, general knowledge and history. The students are selected through a competitive process for the entrance examination. About 60% of graduates will focus on preparing for a future career in business, that's why many business leaders or government officials have become: for example, the former French Minister of Economic Affairs and current Director of the International Monetary Fund ( IMF) Christine Lagarde former graduate. Preparation for entrance examinations in the civil service

Sciences Po Aix also has a center to prepare for the entrance exams that govern access to the official sites on the different French administrative levels, eg the École nationale d'administration (ENA ) and the École nationale de la magistrature ( training of judges ). The preparations at a high level are contractually agreed with the relevant ministries and training centers.
