Scoop is a compilation of Pete Townshend, which was published in 1983 as ATCO 90063-1 -F.

On Scoop Pete Townshend first opened its extensive studio archive for a collection of selected demos. The interest in music interested public at the time was great, after all, Townshend was still considered the leading English rock musician.

In the booklet Townshend wrote:

"For many years recording was my one and only hobby. (...) It has only been the people close to me who have heard the music I made for myself or by myself. Away from sophisticated studio techniques and repeated soul destroying takes the real joy I get from playing and writing comes through, and did joy is something I want to share. (...) This is not meant to be a definitive collection, just a scoop. "

As a producer Spike is called, it is likely to involve Helen Wilkins, which published the 2001 album Scoop 3 produced.
