Scoresby (crater)

Scoresby is an impact crater on the moon high in the north on the lunar front side. It is located between the craters Challis in the northwest and Meton in the southeast. The crater has a central peak. The rim is hardly eroded.

The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU by the British explorer William Scoresby.
