Scott Barron (tennis)

Scott Barron ( born August 27, 1974 in Dublin ) is a former Irish tennis player.

Career

Barron could never prevail on a higher professional level such as the ATP Challenger Tour. Also for Grand Slam tournaments he had never qualified.

He assumed, however, at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, where he played alongside Owen Casey in the doubles competition. However, towards the Canadian Grant Connell and Daniel Nestor Barron and Casey had to give clearly beaten in straight sets.

Barron played between 1993 and 2001 a total of 17 matches for the Irish Davis Cup team. However, his double record with his single 6:2 is balanced with 11:11 positive.
