Scott catalogue

The Scott catalog of postage stamps published by Scott Publishing Co, a subsidiary of Amos Press. He is an American stamp catalog and one of the few stamp catalogs which has a worldwide coverage. It is updated annually and consists of six volumes (as of 2007). There is also a CD release. The stamp numbering system this is the most used in the United States.

The first Scott catalog was a 21-page booklet. It was in 1868 published by John Walter Scott, an early stamp dealer in New York, claiming all the stamps of the world list, with each quote. This original original catalog was reprinted later.

Apart from the multi-volume catalog with worldwide coverage there is also a specialist on the U.S. Scott catalog entitled " United States Stamps Specialized Catalogue", this first appeared in 1922.
