Scott Heim

Scott Heim ( born 1966 in Hutchinson, Kansas) is an American author.

Life and work

Home Scott grew up in the country, studied at the University of Kansas English and Art History. Later, he attended Columbia University in New York, where he also began work on his first novel. Home now lives in Massachusetts. His first novel, Mysterious Skin was published in 1995 in the United States and 2004 under the title Mysterious Skin - filmed under the skin. The German translation was published under the title Mysterious Skin - Invisible Scars 2006 Bruno Gmunder Verlag. His other two novels In Awe (1997) and We Disappear (2008 ) have not been translated into German.

In November 2008, he was chosen by the magazine out of the most influential people of the year.
