Scott Hicks
Scott Hicks ( born March 4, 1953 in Uganda) is an Australian film director, who became famous in the 90s by the Oscar-nominated film Shine.
Life
Hicks, who was born and raised in East Africa, completed in 1975 to study at Flinders University, South Australia ( BA Honors ) and in 1997 an honorary doctorate. He lives with his wife, the producer Kerry Heysen in Adelaide, South Australia. They have two sons, Scott and Jethro.
Honors
For Shine was nominated for Best Director and Best Screenplay for the Oscar and the BAFTA for Best film of the categories in 1997.
