Scott Langkow

Scott Langkow (* April 21, 1975 in Sherwood Park, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Krefeld Penguins in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Langkow began his career in 1991 with the Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League in which he thus distinguished himself, having played three seasons with at least 20 wins. In the NHL Entry Draft 1993, the goalie was then selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the 31st, in which, however, he mainly was used for the Farm Team Springfield Falcons. After moving the Jets to Phoenix Langkow stood still for the Falcons in the gate. There, the goalkeeper became one of the top goalies in the American Hockey League, where he won the 1998 Aldege " Baz " Bastien Award for the best goalkeeper.

In 1999, Langkow to the Atlanta Thrashers for which he completed 15 games in the National Hockey League before he was bound by the Anaheim Ducks. After two years in the Minor Leagues, the goalkeeper signed a contract with porin Ässät from the Finnish SM- liiga, where he was on the ice for four years.
