Scott McCoy

Scott McCoy is an American lawyer and politician in Utah.

Life

After leaving school, McCoy studied law. McCoy attended William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri (BA, 1992), the George Washington University in Washington, DC (MA, 1994) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. McCoy was a member of the Democratic Party. From February 7, 2005 to December 4, 2009, he sat in the Senate from Utah. In 2009 he resigned to devote himself to his career as a lawyer. Successor in the Senate was his party colleague Ben McAdams.

McCoy lives with his partner Mark Barr in Salt Lake City.
