Scott Porter
Scott Porter (born 14 July 1979, Omaha, Nebraska) is an American actor, as Jason Street is known in the television series Friday Night Lights especially.
Life
Scott Porter was born in Nebraska, the son of Butch and Robin Porter and grew up with two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. He attended Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida, where he played as a wide receiver on the football team and graduated in 1997. Subsequently, Porter studied at the University of Central Florida.
After Scott Porter had moved to New York, he received roles in two off-Broadway musicals, Altar Boyz and Toxic Audio. After appearances in the soap Young and Passionate - As life would have it, The Bedford Diaries and Ugly Betty he landed a starring role in the NBC series Friday Night Lights. Spent two seasons he played Jason Street, the quarterback of the Dillon Panthers, who is injured and then sitting paraplegic in a wheelchair. In the third and fifth season of the show Porter had guest appearances. Then starred in several films. For example, in Prom Night, Speed Racer and Bandslam - Get Ready to Rock!. In the series Caprica and The Good Wife Porter had recurring guest roles. As a speaker he was heard in the English versions of Marvel anime.
Since 2011 he plays the role of George Tucker in the television series Hart of Dixie.
