Scott Rudin

Scott Rudin (* July 14, 1958 in New York City ) is an American film producer.

The entry into the film business he managed while he was working for a casting agency on Broadway. As a theater director Rudin won the Tony Award for his production of the Passion.

Early 1980s was president of Rudin 20th Century Fox. In 1987 he left the Fox and started his own productions, with Sister Act and The Addams Family became worldwide hits.

2001 Iris was nominated for best British film for the British Academy Film Award. In 2008 he was awarded for the film No Country for Old Men with the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Rudin lives with his partner openly gay in New York City.
