Scott Thunes

Thunes Scott ( born January 20, 1960 in Los Angeles ) is a no longer an active musician, who became famous in the 1980s as a bass player on bass guitar in the band of Frank Zappa. His playing is especially important to listen to the live Zappa albums from this period - among other Make a Jazz Noise Here, Guitar and The Best band you never heard in your life.

Thunes mother Michele was a secretary at the Department of Music of the College of Martin. Thunes took music classes and played in several bands, chamber orchestra, the choir and in a jazz group of colleges.

Thunes played with Frank Zappa, Wayne Kramer, Steve Vai, Andy Prieboy, Mike Keneally and in groups such as Fear and the Waterboys.

The journalist Thomas Victor raises Thunes out great talent to combine music theory with a natural exuberance on the instrument. This leads to a melodic, improvisational, emotional and very free game that is unique and inimitable.
