Scott Township is one of 16 townships of Brown County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 1253 inhabitants were registered here.
Geography
Scott Township is located near the geographical center of Brown County in southwest Ohio, is in the south about 15 km from the Ohio River, which is the natural border with Kentucky, bordered clockwise to the townships: Pike Township, Washington Township, Franklin Township, Pleasant Township and Clark Township.
Management
The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
