Scottie Upshall

Scottie Upshall ( born October 7, 1983 in Fort McMurray, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League since July 2011.

Playing career

The 1.83 m wide right- winger began his career in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the McMurray Oil Barons as well as the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League before the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 as sixth in the first round by the Nashville Predators has been selected.

On 28 August 2011, shortly before the trade deadline, the Coyotes traded him along with Sami Lepisto Rostislav Klesla and Dane Byers from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

On 1 July 2011, Upshall was taken from the Florida Panthers under contract.

Scottie Upshall played both for the Canadian U-18 as well as for the U20 national team, with the latter he won at the World Championships of 2002 and 2003 the silver medal.
