Scottish Premiership

The Scottish Premiership since 2013, the highest football league in Scotland.

System

The twelve teams in the league wear per season from 38 games: After 33 games in which all teams compete against each other three times, the league is divided into two groups with the top six or bad teams. Now the teams of each group play each other once each for either the Championship (Group of six best teams) or to the descent ( group of six bad teams). After this further five matches then the season is over. ( Thus, at the end of the season as the seventh Place more points than the sixth- Place. )

The first table of the group with the six best clubs is Scottish champion. The-table group with the six bad associations descends and is replaced by the Master of the Scottish Championship, if met this certain economic criteria (eg Vollprofitum ) and restrictions on its stadium (pure -seater stadium, etc.). The Tabellenvorletzte plays in the playoffs with second - to fourth-placed from the Championship.
