Scott Cooke " Scotty" McCreery (born 9 October 1993 in Garner, North Carolina) is an American country singer. In 2011, he won the tenth season of American Idol.

Life
Scotty McCreery was born on 9 October 1993 in Garner (North Carolina ), the son of Judy and Michael McCreery. He went to the West Lake Middle School and Garner Magnet High School.
American Idol
McCreery auditioned in Milwaukee (Wisconsin ) and surprised the judges with his deep bass voice. He was never the last two or three ( english bottom two or three). On 25 May 2011 McCreery won the final against Lauren Alaina and became the youngest male winner and second youngest winner by Jordin Sparks.
