Scotty Nguyen
Thuan " Scotty" Nguyen ( born October 28, 1962 in Nha Trang, Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese- American professional poker player.
Nguyen is one of the most active players in professional poker. From 2000 to 2004, he completed over 100 tournaments from the prize ranks. He won the main event at the World Series of Poker in 1998 and has won a total of 5 bracelets.
Nguyen says in the game regularly "baby " and " yeah baby " and is very emotional. He also coined the phrase " That's poker, baby" (That's poker, baby) for a miserable losing hand ( Bad Beat ). In the final hand of the main event of the World Series of Poker 1998 Full House ( 9-9-8-8-8 ) was dealt on the table. Nguyen said to his opponent Kevin McBride when he would call, would be all over ( original: You call, gonna be all over, baby ). McBride called, and the tournament was over, because Nguyen had a nine on the hand and thus with " Nines Full" the " Eights Full" by McBride suggested, who played the full house on the board.
