Origin

The " Scratchbauen " or just " scratching " in the model comes from the Anglo-Saxon ( from scratch = from scratch / from scratch / from scratch / from the very beginning / from the bottom of ) and means here the (colorful) " ragtag " from diverse, " scraped together " parts created model.

Production

In making a Scratch built model in the first place are sectional drawings, plans, detail photos and technical details of details used. Experienced hobbyists can also make do with photos only partly, which, however, the detail of the model does not preclude comes as reference measurements can be calculated only from sectional drawings reliable.
