Scream (Band)

Scream is an American hardcore punk band from the 1980s, with releases on the label Dischord Records in Washington DC was known.

Band History

Scream in 1982 by brothers Peter and Franz Stahl (vocals and guitar), bassist Skeeter Thompson and drummer Kent Stax was founded in Virginia. Shortly after, the band played along with several producers, including Ian MacKaye, her first album Still Screaming one, which was published in 1983 by Dischord Records, which was the first full studio album a single band on this label.

For their second album, This Side Up, the band Robert Lee Davidson took over as second guitarist on as an additional member. In this formation, also published in 1987 third album Banging the drum was recorded. Following the publication of this work Stax drummer left the group, he was replaced by Dave Grohl. On the reggae label RAS Records the next album was published in 1988. 1990 went Scream one last time on a European tour. Her performance in Alzey on 4 May 1990 was released on the German indie label Your Choice Records of Tobby Holzinger. That same year, the band parted ways. The recorded shortly before the separation Album fumble, in which Dave Grohl has been integrated into the songwriting, published Dischord in 1993. In December 2009, Scream united in the occupation of Peter Stahl (vocals), Franz Stahl (guitar), Skeeter Thompson ( bass) and Kent Stax (drums) for a gig at the Black Cat in Washington, DC again. This was followed in the course of 2010, further appearances in the United States and 16 August 2011 was released an EP entitled Complete Control Sessions, on which the band presented seven new pieces. In January and February 2012, a tour followed by Europe, followed by a few appearances in North America.
