Scream (Band)

Scream is an American hardcore punk band from the 1980s, with releases on the label Dischord Records in Washington DC was known.

Band History

Scream in 1982 by brothers Peter and Franz Stahl (vocals and guitar), bassist Skeeter Thompson and drummer Kent Stax was founded in Virginia. Shortly after, the band played along with several producers, including Ian MacKaye, her first album Still Screaming one, which was published in 1983 by Dischord Records, which was the first full studio album a single band on this label.

For their second album, This Side Up, the band Robert Lee Davidson took over as second guitarist on as an additional member. In this formation, also published in 1987 third album Banging the drum was recorded. Following the publication of this work Stax drummer left the group, he was replaced by Dave Grohl. On the reggae label RAS Records the next album was published in 1988. 1990 went Scream one last time on a European tour.
