Screaming Bloody Murder is the fifth studio album by the Canadian rock band Sum 41 It was first published on March 25, 2011 in Australia. In Europe, the album came out three days later and a day later, only in the United States. It is the first album since the release of Underclass Hero 2007, with this already the second, which was produced by singer Deryck Whibley. It is in some places metal -heavy than its predecessor, but also contains some ballads.
Background
While touring guitarist Tom Thacker is now an official member of the band and is registered with the first single of the same name as a co- producer, singer Deryck Whibley played all the songs himself a. Originally, the release of an EP was planned in 2009, which was postponed. Shortly afterwards, however, they decided to record an entire album. In November 2009, the famous producer Gil Norton ( Pixies, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters ) has been commissioned to produce the album, but was released one week after the start of the recordings, after Whibley took the production into their own hands. The recordings took place in three different studios, but all are located in California.
