Screen Awards

The Star Screen Award and Screen Weekly Award is an Indian film award, awarded since 1995 by the weekly magazine Screen and supports up to 2001 by Videocon International Limited.

History

The Star Screen Awards are different from other popular prices; the complete nomination for the final selection for the Star Screen Awards takes place (similar to the Oscars ) by a panel of professionals from the film industry itself. The criteria for the award are not only public popularity, but also professional skills.

The Awards for Hindi / Marathi films, television productions and non-film music are presented annually at a glamorous event in January in Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. For the regional cinema in South India, Screen has been awarded three times the " Screen Awards for excellence in South Indian Cinema", which are presented in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The Star Screen Awards is the only awards ceremony in India, where the " Executive Director " and the " Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ' attended.
