Seal of Mali

The Seal of Mali was enshrined in law on 20 October 1973 but had been in use since 1961. In 1982, the color was changed.

The motto of the country - Un peuple, un but, une foi (French: " One people, one goal, one faith " ) - is prescribed in Article 25 of the Constitution and is found in black capitals in a semicircle written in the lower half along the edge of the crest. Close the circle the words Republique du Mali ( " Mali Republic " ) in the upper half.

The state seal of Mali is circular with light blue background. At the center of the crest there is a picture of the Great Mosque of Djenne in golden color over which - also in a golden color - a vulture hovering ( also described as a dove ), looking to the left. Below the mosque is the rising sun - just in gold - indicated. Left and right of it ever find a white bow with arrow.
