Seamill

Seamill is a village in the Scottish Unitary Authority North Ayrshire. It lies on the southern shore of the Firth of Clyde and is adherent to the town of West Kilbride. By A78 Seamill is directly connected to the road network. In 1961 Seamill counted 526 inhabitants.

Seamill developed around the site of a mill, from where also the name of the town is derived. In the late 19th century nursing and medical facility to be set up in Seamill, including the now classified as a monument of the highest category A Scottish Seamill Centre. In addition, the town developed as a holiday destination for summer visitors.
