Seamus Dever

Seamus Patrick Dever ( born July 27, 1976 in Flint, Michigan ) is an American actor.

Seamus Dever spent his youth in Bullhead City. He graduated from Northern Arizona University and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie - Mellon University and the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre. In 2006 he got married and his wife Juliana.

Dever was seen in Los Angeles in various roles at the theater, for which he received good reviews. He played in the LA premiere of the stage version of A Clockwork Orange.

On television, he was mainly seen as a guest performer in different series. A longer commitment had Dever 2008 in the soap opera General Hospital as Dr. Ian Devlin and the television series Army Wives as Dr. Chris Ferlinghetti.

Since 2009 Dever plays one of the lead roles, the Detective Kevin Ryan, in the crime series Castle.
