Seamus McGarvey

Seamus McGarvey, BSC ( born June 29, 1967 in Armagh, Northern Ireland ) is a British cinematographer for feature films and director of music videos.

Life

Seamus McGarvey began his film career as a still photographer before attending the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1988 and successfully completed.

Then he began to short films and documentaries to work, including the 1998 winner of the Turner Prize Short Atlantic.

Also resulted in numerous music videos McGarvey British and Irish musicians directed, including Robbie Williams, U2, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Dusty Springfield and Coldplay.

In 1998 he became the youngest member ever of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC ) was added. Seamus McGarvey was at that time 31 years old.

From the mid- 2000s took McGarvey the camera work in films such as World Trade Center (2006 ), Atonement (2007), Nowhere Boy (2009 ) We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011), The Avengers (2012 ) and Anna Karenina ( 2012).
