Sean Daniel

Sean Peter Daniel ( born August 15, 1951 in New York) is an American film producer.

Life

Sean Daniel grew up as the son of Beverly and Jeremy Daniel in New York. He studied film directing at the California Institute of the Arts in 1973 and reached his Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then returned to New York, where he briefly worked at The Village Voice.

He then moved into the film industry and worked in 1975 as associate producer on the documentary women in the brothel. In 1976 he was involved as an Assistant Director at the making of the film The Great Texas Dynamite Chase.

From 1976 he worked for Universal Studios, where he worked his way to head of production by the wizard. Daniel and Jack were best known as the producer of the franchise to The Mummy (1999). After the success of the film both produced, among other films The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption.

His longtime producing partner James Jacks, who in 2004 left Alphaville Films, died in January 2014.
