Sean Dundee

Sean William Dundee ( born December 7, 1972 in Durban, South Africa ) is a former German professional football players of South African origin.

Career

The center forward started his football career in South Africa in Durban and D' Alberton Callies Bayview Durban, before he moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers in 1992. In 1994 he signed with the TSF Ditzingen, 1995, he went to Karlsruher SC in the Bundesliga. With the KSC he reached inter alia the final of the DFB-Pokal in 1996.

Dundee has developed into one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga ( 16 goals in the 1995/96 season, in the following season 17 goals) and was naturalized in early 1997 in summary proceedings, to play for the German national team. There, however, he sat only once on the bench, only in the A2 national team, he has been deployed and also scored a goal.

After the KSC and Dundee had separated - partly because he made with private affairs for more than headlines on the pitch - he was bound by the first division club FC Liverpool in 1998, but could not prevail there. So he returned in 1999 to VfB Stuttgart back to Germany, but was unable to repeat earlier successes there and therefore moving in 2003 to Austria FK Austria Wien. After just one season he returned in the summer of 2004 back to KSC, with whom he played for two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga.

In May 2006, Sean Dundee signed for second division side Kickers Offenbach a two year contract, but was borrowed from the following winter break at the Stuttgarter Kickers, where he played five games in the Regionalliga Süd and scored a goal. In summer 2008, he wrote in his South African birthplace a one-year contract with AmaZulu FC and ended after the contract expires his professional career.

In 162 first division matches Sean Dundee scored 61 goals in 74 second-division games, he was 14 times successfully. He also came to three brief appearances in the Premier League and 18 matches in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he remained without a goal each.

Dundee suffered towards the end of his career under increasing back problems due to physical work in his childhood and youth.

Since mid- November 2013, he is eligible to play for the VSV Büchig in the district Class A, for whom he made his first game on November 17, 2013 against VfB Grötzingen.

Through his eye for goal during his first time at KSC, he got in reference to the movie Crocodile Dundee - A crocodile Kiss the Girls, the media nicknamed " Dundee, the Torkrokodil ". In addition, a video game was released called " Sean Dundee 's World Cup Football" by Ubisoft.
