Sean Pronger

Sean James Pronger ( born November 30, 1972 in Thunder Bay, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who during his active career, among other things, for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets and Vancouver Canucks was active in the National Hockey League. His brother Chris is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Sean Pronger first played from 1988 to 1989 for the Kenora Boise in a unterklassigen Canadian junior league. Following the striker spent a season with the Thunder Bay Flyers of the United States Hockey League. Pronger began in the wake studies at Bowling Green State University and went on until 1994 for the ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association on the ice. During this time the Canadians were selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 in the third round at position 51 of the Vancouver Canucks. After completing his studies Pronger was active in his first professional season mainly in the East Coast Hockey League and was available for the Knoxville Cherokees and Greensboro Monarchs on the ice. Since it the Vancouver Canucks had not taken within the three-year period after the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 under contract, the striker was available as a free agent and eligible fully with all NHL teams to negotiate. In February 1995 he accepted a contract offer from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The rest of the season completed, the attacker in the farm team for the San Diego Gulls of the International Hockey League.

During the 1995/96 season he gained his first experience in the NHL, and ran in seven games for the Mighty Ducks on the ice, the center recorded an assist. The majority of the playing time denied the Canadians at the Baltimore Bandits of the American Hockey League. The following season, Pronger received significantly more ice age in the jersey of the Mighty Ducks and scored 14 points in 39 games of the regular season. In the playoffs, he failed with the Californians in the second round against the Detroit Red Wings. In the 1997/98 season, he seemed determined to play in Anaheim and came in 62 NHL games for use, in which he reached 20 points. In March 1998 he transferred this but in exchange for goalie Patrick Lalime to the Pittsburgh Penguins. For the Penguins Pronger completed twelve NHL games with a goal is scored before gave him the management in November 1998 in a comprehensive five players barter to the New York Rangers. The season 1998/99 ultimately ended the links Sagittarius with the Los Angeles Kings. As a free agent he signed in August 1999, a contract with the Boston Bruins.
