Seattle International Film Festival

The Seattle International Film Festival ( SIFF ) is a film festival held annually in Seattle, Washington. It is one of the major film festivals in North America. It takes 24 days from late May to early June.

History

The festival was founded in 1976 by Dan Ireland and Darryl Macdonald. As the first venue of the independent cinema Moore Egyptian Theater was used, which again bears the name Moore Theatre today.
