Sebastian Backer

Sebastian Backer (born 5 September 1980 in Munich ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Career

Clubs

After his youth at TSV Zorneding, at the Backer learned to play football, he moved in 1988 in the youth department of FC Bayern Munich. On July 20, 1997, he was a member of the team that defeated in the final of the Junior B Championship in Unterhaching Werder Bremen 3-0. About the Regional team Backer came in 2000 in the Bundesliga squad by coach Ottmar Hitzfeld. He never came, however, the use and continued to play only in the Regionalliga. Unhappy with this fact, the Munich left the club and moved to MSV Duisburg.

But even in Duisburg Backer could not enforce. In his first season, he never played for the first team. 2002/ 03 Backer was at least four appearances in the Bundesliga 2; However, after he joined the Regionalliga Nord to Eintracht Braunschweig. In the first year Backer played six times, in the following only twice for Brunswick. National

Sebastian Backer played 34 junior internationals ( in different age classes) for the DFB. His debut in the U-16 national team, he was on 1 April 1997 in Pforzheim in a 2-2 draw against the choice of Turkey, where he also scored his first goal for this selection team. He took both the U-16 European Championship 1997 from April 28 to May 10 ( 6 games, 2 goals) in their own country as well as at the U - 17 World Cup 1997 from September 4 to 21 in Egypt ( 6 games, 0 goals) part. For this selection team he played for the first time on August 8, 1997 Oberhaching in a 5-1 victory over the selection of Oman, the last time on 12 March 1998 in Würzburg in the 3-1 victory over the selection of the Ukraine.
