Sebastian Bayer
Sebastian Bayer ( born June 11, 1986 in Aachen ) is a German long jumper. He was European champion in 2012 and 2009 and 2011 European Indoor champion.
Life
The Youth Vice Champion of 2004 and U20 European Vice-Champion in 2005 won his first national title in 2006 in the adult area. At the European Championships in Gothenburg, he failed to qualify.
In 2007 he became German Vice Champion in the hall, and in 2008 he won at the German Championships with a personal outdoor best performance of 8.15 m. With the second meeting the B standard Bayer qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, retired from there, however, in the qualification.
By winning the European Indoor Championships on March 8, 2009 in Turin him his first major international success came in the adult class.
