Sebastian Owuya

Sebastian Owuya (born 8 October 1991 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 at the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL under contract. His brother Mark Owuya is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Sebastian Owuya began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Djurgårdens IF, in which he was active until 2007. Then the defender moved to the youth department of the Timrå IK, for its first team he in the 2009/10 season his debut in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, gave. In his rookie year he was point and impunity in eleven games. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2010 in the sixth round as a total of 169 players from the Atlanta Thrashers and went to North America, where he worked for the Medicine Hat in the season 2010/11 Tigers played in the Canadian Junior Football League Western Hockey League.

For the 2011/12 season Owuya was committed by the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.
