Sebastian Schindzielorz

Sebastian Schindzielorz ( born January 21, 1979 in Krapkowice ( German Krappitz ), Poland ) is a former German - Polish footballer.

Association

The defensive midfielder began his career at VfL Bochum, for whom he played in the youth teams. In the 1998/99 season he played in the initial formation of the Bundesliga and was henceforth a regular player. His debut in the Bundesliga was Schindzielorz on Matchday 6, 26 September 1998 against 1 FC Kaiserslautern. At 3-2 away success, he came over the full 90 minutes to use. Two game days later he scored his first league goal. When 1:2 against TSV 1860 Munich, he equaled at intermediate draw. In his first four years as a pro, he held alternately in a descent and the chances of promotion to the Bundesliga. Schindzielorz then moved up in the Norwegian Tippeligaen to IK Start. On September 14, he graduated from the 2:5 against Ajax Amsterdam his first UEFA Cup match. He also received at IK Start a new contract, so he moved to the PAE Levadiakos for season 2007/ 08.

On August 6, 2011, there came to comeback in the Bundesliga team VfL when he in the season opener at his former club, the 1st FC Cologne in the 75th minute with the score at 1-0 to VfL ( Final 3 was loaded 0 ) by Felix Magath for Hasan Salihamidžić.

In April 2012, VfL Wolfsburg extended Schindzielorz ' contract for the second team until 2013.

National

Schindzielorz was U-21 national team of Germany. He came up with 16 appearances, where he scored a goal.

He was nominated for the preliminary squad of the national team for the 2002 World Cup in 2002. However, he was only two official test - friendly games on the bench and was not used. One day after the 0-1 defeat against Wales he had to leave. Then Schindzielorz was not nominated.

Schindzielorz, son of a German family from Silesia, came in 1985 with his parents as ethnic Germans to Germany. He now has both the German and the Polish citizenship.
