Sebastian Schmidt (rower)

Sebastian Mathias Schmidt ( born January 6, 1985 in Wiesbaden- Dotzheim ) is a former German sweep rowers. He was a member of the 2009 and 2010 Germany rowing eight which won the World Championships.

Sports career

Sebastian Schmidt began with school rowing in Wiesbaden, but starts long for Mainz Rowing Club from 1878. 2003 he was in four German youth champion and took second place in the eighth in racing community. A year later he was two-time German champion in the range U23 because it with a few seconds ahead reached the target in both the pairs without coxswain and in the eighth. He therefore sat in eighth in the Nations Cup in Poznan, where he also won.
