Sebastian Schulte

Sebastian Schulte ( born December 13, 1978 in Wiesbaden ) is a former German rower.

After studying economics at the Ruhr- University Bochum, he was successful in 2008 at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge PhD ( "Fair Value Measurement for non -financial assets "). He was from 2003 to 2008 active speaker in German Rowing Association. 2007 Schulte was vice-president of the Cambridge University Boat Club ( CUBC ).

In 2000 he was U23 world champion in eighth and since 2001 was Sebastian Schulte together with athletes like Thorsten Engelmann and Ulf Siemes the crew in Germany aft, with the claimed bronze medalist (2001 and 2005), World Championship silver, he (2002) in Eton, 2006 world Champion. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, he was fourth.

During his studies at Cambridge, he qualified in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 for the University Boat in Cambridge. After two defeats in the Boat Race against Oxford he won the race in 2007 for Cambridge. The year 2007 also proved to remain positive and ended with a runner-up title for the eighth. After his return to Germany and mediocre performances at the World Cup in 2008, he lost his place in the Germany of eight, after the German Rowing Association was formed a new team just before the Olympics.

Currently Schulte has worked as head of investment controlling at Thyssen Krupp AG in Essen.
