Sebastian Uvira

Sebastian Uvira (* 26 January 1993 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Augsburger Panther in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under Vertreag. His father Eduard Uvira was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Sebastian Uvira began his career as a hockey player in the junior section of the EV Landshut, where he was active until 2007. He then spent two years playing for the U18 Juniors of HC Slezan Opava in the Czech Republic, before moving to the polar bears Juniors Berlin from the German Junior League shortly before the end of the season 2008 /09. There, the attacker was also in the following season, where he scored three goals in parallel in five games for the FASS Berlin in the fourth division hockey Regional. For the 2010/11 season he returned to the EV Landshut, with the U18 junior he won the DNL title. In parallel, he came for the Landshut Cannibals, the professional team of the club to his debut in the second Hockey League. In this he scored in 28 games three goals and an assist.

For the 2011/12 season Uvira joined the Oshawa Generals of the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. For the Generals, he scored in his first year in North America in 58 games 22 scorer points, including 13 goals.

On January 10, 2013 Sebastian Uvira was traded along with a fifth - round draft pick to Simon Karlsson of the Plymouth Whalers.

Internationally

For Germany Uvira took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010 and the U20 Junior World Championship of Division IA in 2012.
