Sebastiano Mannironi

Sebastiano Mannironi ( born July 22, 1930 in Nuoro in Sardinia ) is an Italian former weightlifter. The 1.62 meter tall athlete started Gennargentu from Nuoro and GS for Polisportiva Fiamme Oro from Rome. At the Olympic Games in 1960 Mannironi won the bronze medal in the featherweight.

Mannironi also took part in the Olympic competitions in 1956 and 1964: In his first appearance he did not finish the race as he finished in fifth place in 1964.

Between 1953 and 1966, the Italians also reached two silver and bronze medals at World Championships and a gold, five silver and four bronze medals at the European Championships.

In 1958 he also unveiled a world record in the snatch of the featherweight class.
