Sébastien Amiez

Sébastien Amiez ( born May 6, 1972 in Champagny-en -Vanoise ) is a French former alpine skier, who specializes in slalom.

The World Ski Championships 1997 in Sestriere, he finished second behind Norwegian Tom Stiansen in the slalom. Also a silver medal he won at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, behind Jean -Pierre Vidal.

In the Ski World Cup, he won a race, the slalom in Veysonnaz on 21 January 1996. That same season he achieved three podiums, which was enough to win the World Cup slalom him. In the years 1997, 1998 and 2001 was followed by a further six podium finishes. He was also 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004 French slalom champion. In April 2007, he announced his retirement from ski racing.
