Secret Service was a Swedish Pop / Rock / New Wave band in the 1980s.

Band History

In 1979, Ola Håkansson did, former vocalist of Ola & the Janglers ( a group that has been very successful in the 1960s and 1970s in Sweden), with Ulf Wahlberg and Tim Norell to the group " Ola 3 " together to some to write songs for Melodifestivalen. With the written Wahlberg Title Det som jag känns vandrar fram they occupied, although only 3rd place, but decided to further cooperation. The band's name was changed to " Secret Service".

Already the first published in the fall of 1979 single Oh Susie was a hit throughout Europe and South America. The text is written Hakansson, the music came from Norell.

Although Norell together with Hakansson wrote most of the songs, however, he was never an official member of the group. Hakansson called himself as an author while Bjorn Hakanson, later also Oson. Next big hit in Europe was Ten O'Clock Postman in the summer of 1980, followed by Ye- Si - Ca and LA Goodbye in the spring of 1981.

Recent European hits were 1982 Flash in the Night and Cry softly. Other well-known songs of the group were Let us dance just a little bit more and Dancing in Madness. With When The Night Closes In it were represented in the spring of 1986, the last time in the German charts.

For the last, published in 1988 LP Aux Deux Magots were replaced Tonny Lindberg, Leif Paulsen and Leif Johannson by Anders Hansson ( keyboard, guitar, percussion ) and Mats A. Lindberg ( bass).

Appeared in 2000 in Sweden the CD Top Secret, for which the original members of the band came together again and were published with Bring Heaven Down, Destiny of Love and The Sound of the Rain three new songs.

In June 2012, the CD The Lost box appeared. It contains ten previously unreleased songs as well as already published in 2009 Different. The songs were found in 2007 by Tim Norell while cleaning up in a crate.
