Secretary Iceland is an island in Fiordland National Park in the south west of New Zealand. The island is roughly triangular in shape and is the Doubtful Sound in the south and the Thompson Sound to the north, separated from the mainland. The west coast borders the Tasman Sea. The steeply rising island reaches a height of 1200 meters above sea level in an area of 81 km ². It is uninhabited. The nearest major island is Bauza Iceland to the south.

The Department of Conservation leads to the island by a project to eradicate introduced species and protection of native species on the island.

The Fiordland earthquake of 2003 had its origins 10 km north west of the island in the Tasman Sea.
