History

The band was founded in 1992 in London when guitarist Mark Clifford and drummer Justin Fletcher met with the singer Sarah Peacock and bassist Daren Seymour. They released their first EPs in 1993 under the British independent label Too Pure. The band's music has been classified as a mix of dream pop / shoegaze and ambient techno / IDM.

The band moved in 1994 to the label Warp Records, after the band's music had become less guitar -heavy and had more oriented towards electronica. Shortly thereafter, the Seefeelmx of Autechres Basscadet appeared on the Basscad EP. Between 1996 and 2010, no more new material was produced under the name of the band Seefeel.

Instead, they release their music under a different name. In 1996, the group of Scala Fletcher, Seymour and Peacock was founded with Mark Van Hoen. Peacock guested as slide- guitarist and backing vocalist on the albums I Heard Myself In You and Motion Sickness band January. Until the reunification of Seefeel, she performed with the groups The Gemma Ray Ritual and The Mighty Shimmering Beasts. Clifford published since 1995, his solo work as Disjecta and Wood Spoon, and in 1999 founded together with Sophie Hinkley, the duo Sneak Rochester. He has produced remixes for Cocteau Twins and other bands.
