The Seekofel ( Ladin Sas dla Porta, Italian Croda del Becco ) is a 2,810 meters high mountain on the southern shore of Lake Braies in the Lago di Dolomites on the border between South Tyrol and the province of Belluno, Italy. The summit is in a partially secured hike, requires the sure-footedness and freedom from the hotel Braies (1494 m slm ) via the Porta Sora al Forn ( 2388 m slm ) to reach. The tour should only be attempted in dry and fog-free conditions. From the Porta Sora al Forn a short stroll away, the Biella ( 2327 m slm ).
The Ladin Sas dla Porta name of the mountain or Torberg goes back to the legend that once led to this mountain from Braies from a gate in the underground parts of the Fanesreiches.
