Seelbach, Altenkirchen

Seelbach (Westerwald ) is a municipality in the district of Old Churches ( Westerwald) in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Flammersfeld.

Geography

Seelbach is located about three kilometers east of Flammersfeld. Through the town flows the Wied.

To Seelbach also includes the hamlet of bed frames Hausen.

History

Seelbach belonged to the parish Flammersfeld in the county of Sayn and was first mentioned in the records of the parish court in 1569. After the division of the county of Sayn Seelbach belonged until 1799 to the County of Sayn- ​​Hachenburg.
